A few months ago, plenty of college prospects signed entry-level deals across the NHL. One of those players happened to be 22-year-old Ohio State University defenceman Josh Healey, who ended up signing a deal with the Calgary Flames.

The Edmonton, Alberta native played four years at Ohio State University, where he scored 12 goals and totaled 60 points and 212 penalty minutes in 133 games.

Throughout his career, Healey has been known for delivering some pretty big hits.

While speaking to Darren Haynes during the team’s development camp on Tuesday, Healey was pretty open when it came to talking about what gets him going on the ice and what his favourite part of the game is.

According to Haynes, the Flames prospect was not talking about going out and hitting people in a dangerous manner, he was simply sharing what his favourite part of the game is.

Healey appeared in two games with the AHL’s Stockton Heat last season after signing his entry deal with the Calgary Flames and finished with a +1 rating.
