Giveaway nights used to be all about the item that the fans get to take home with them, now it’s about making the whole night an event based around the theme. Teams started honouring other teams from their city or surrounding area by doing jersey mashup nights as of late, but one of the more popular ways teams are celebrating giveaway nights these days is by turning the whole night into an event.
On Thursday, the Florida Panthers will be hosting their annual Pro Wrestling Night when they host the Los Angeles Kings. The team is selling three different ticket packages for the event, with all of them including an exclusive photo opportunity with the three professional wrestlers who will be in attendance. Those wrestlers are Tommy Dreamer, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Jay Reso FKA Christian.

Christian has done some social media work for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the past, but we’re guessing Lightning fans aren’t going to be so kind to him once they see him in Florida Panthers colours next week.
