The KHL regular season wrapped up this past weekend. HC Vityaz and Admiral Vladivostok didn’t have much on the line as they closed out the season, as both teams already had a spot in the playoffs before the game.

With the game all tied up a 1-1 heading into the third period, Andrei Sigaryov broke the tie by scoring his 5th of the season. Just a couple of minutes later, he had his 6th of the season, only this time it came courtesy of former NHL defenceman Alexei Semenov.

That is easily one of the worst own goals we have ever seen. Not only did make no attempt to use his stick on the play, but he pretty much threw the puck right into the net. The goal deflated the team, as they ended up losing 3-1.

As for Semenov, the 35-year-old was drafted 36th overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers, and also spent time with the Florida Panthers and San Jose Sharks before heading overseas to the KHL after the 2008-09 season.
