If you didn't stay up to see the conclusion of Game 5 of the World Series, we can't blame you.

We hope the extra hours of sleep were worth it, though, because Game 5 of the World Series broke the internet multiple times before the Astros walked it off to take a 3-2 series lead.

Simply put, it was an instant classic (one of the best World Series games of all-time) filled with memorable moments, one of which was a George Springer home run in the 7th inning to tie the game.

There was something strange about the home run, though, and fans watching the game on television probably noticed it immediately.

Based on the live look and the replay, it sure seemed as though Springer's moonshot exploded on impact:

We're not sure what the ball hit when it landed or what caused the mini explosion, but we're very interesting in finding out and because the video went viral, we're sure it won't be long before the mystery is solved.

Springer's bomb was part of a four-run 7th inning for the Astros, but as everyone witnessed, they needed 10 innings to beat the Dodgers and reclaim a World Series lead.
