During the Toronto Maple Leafs versus Montreal Canadiens game on Saturday night, the contest was ended in overtime when Frederik Andersen came out to attempt a poke check on Andrew Shaw, who quickly moved the puck around Andersen for the backhand, game-winning goal.

Well, if you thought Andersen's attempt was a poor one, this goalie making an attempt at a poke check during a shoot out attempt is far worse. The goalie is already going for the poke check before the player has even crossed the blue line! And when we say "go for the poke check," we're kind of being polite, as he just slides his body towards the shooter.

The best part from the goalie is how he stops at centre ice after his failure of an attempt, takes off his glove and blocker, and gives the shooter a round of applause. We're sure his teammates are very happy with his decision...
