Every once in a while, Vladimir Putin plays hockey and everybody else on the ice does their best to get out of the way – except for this goalie.

We’re not sure if Putin enjoys that people get out of his way or not, but either way, they definitely don’t move very much and are basically the hockey definition of pylons. Once Putin gets close to the net though, the goalie doesn’t stand down – first robbing him on a shot from the dot and second on the rebound.

This shouldn’t be a surprise considering in the past, he’s played with a scoreboard that literally reads: “Vladimir Putin vs. Rest of the World”.

Even if you’re not the best player on the ice Vladimir, don’t worry, just work hard and people will appreciate it. Just look at Justin Bieber. He’s not the hockey communities favourite celebrity, but he got a lot of credit for taking a bone-crunching hit from Chris Pronger.
