Usually the term "keep your head on a swivel" is used in football because at any moment, there's a chance a player can be part of the next viral video for all of the wrong reasons.

 

The term can be applied to nearly every contact sport and a few non-contact ones, too.

Golf, for example, is one of those sports because fans need to be on the lookout for balls coming out of nowhere.

Tuesday night at the World Long Drive competition, it wasn't a ball that these fans should have been keeping an eye on, though.

There's no way those fans watching thought that a club could ever snap and come flying towards them, but it did and it nailed that poor guy.

Sometimes we have to learn lessons the hard way, but this spectator will know to keep his head on a swivel the next time he goes to any kind of sporting event.
