Greg Maddux's illustrious pitching career was never about power; it was about deception. That's what made Maddux the perfect candidate to dress up in a disguise and prank reigning NL MVP Kris Bryant.

Last spring Bryant teamed up with Red Bull to trick a college team into thinking that he had transferred there. This year it was Bryant's turn to get pranked, with Maddux playing the role of a sound guy who just happens to also be able to paint the corners like a Hall of Famer.

Even at the age of 50 Maddux is a fierce opponent from sixty feet and six inches. Bryant seemed to be genuinely fooled at first, but it seemed as if he clued in pretty quickly once he saw the quality of the sound guy's pitches. Kinda like how the college players Bryant pranked last year pretty much identified him as soon as he stepped tot he plate.
