Rob Gronkowski was the latest person to fall victim to the Madden Curse.
Although it has been less prevelant in recent years, with standout years from Calvin Johnson, OBJ, Richard Sherman and Larry Fitzgerald, the curse returned this year for Gronk. Although the Madden Curse is just a myth in real life, in this new Madden commercial, it comes alive. It visits Gronk and gives him the silver lining for any injury or sickness – professional athlete or not – and that’s more time for video games.
Gronk ultimately has no choice but to accept his life-after-injury lifestyle in this hilarious new commercial.
Hopefully the Madden Curse wears off by next year and Gronk is back as one of the most dominant forces in the league.
