The Colorado Rockies’ Double-A affiliate Hartford Yard Goats are playing their first season in Hartford and are doing whatever they can to win over their new fans.

Formerly known as the New Britain Rock Cats, the team relocated to Hartford, Connecticut, for the 2017 season and have been doing a decent job getting comfortable in their new home.

This summer, the Yard Goats will host a promotion night that everyone in town is going to want to be part of. The team will host Hartford Whalers Alumni weekend from July 14-16 and they have some awesome things planned.

Aside from having some former Hartford Whalers players in attendance for a meet and greet with the fans, the team will also be rocking some special hockey-inspired merchandise during the weekend.

It looks like the team is set to wear hockey jersey-inspired uniforms for the weekend, and their team’s logo will have the baseball bat replaced with a hockey stick.

Fans in attendance for the games will also be treated to a free post-game fireworks show, and fans taking in the Sunday night game will take home a Whalers Alumni poster.
