The 2017 offseason was a franchise defining one for the Boston Celtics, adding Gordon Hayward even before the trade that brought Kyrie Irving to the team. One can’t underestimate losses like Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley, but the team will nevertheless be extremely competitive.

At the end of the day LeBron James is still wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey, but Boston is building a competitor for the top spot in the East.

Speaking of James, during the Celtics press conference introducing Hayward and Irving, Hayward appeared to throw a small shot at LeBron, saying him and Irving were interested in teaming up, but James entering the picture squashed that.

Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward go way back. 😂

Also, Kyrie without a beard is incredibly distracting. We will never get used to Irving without a beard, so he should probably go ahead and start growing it back as soon as possible.
