Alexander Ovechkin recently starred in a Papa John’s commercial as a pizza delivery man. In the commercial, the 31-year-old NHL superstar jokes about how he wanted to be a pizza delivery guy when he grew up, but he was never any good at it. Luckily for him, his career as a professional hockey player gave him the opportunity to live out his original childhood dream.
Whether it’s during a game or not, Ovechkin is all about having a good time. With that being said, you can bet there were a lot of hilarious moments that happened behind-the-scenes during the taping of the commercial. Thanks to the fine folks over at Russian Machine Never Breaks, these hilarious outtakes were captured for all to see.
The six-time Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy winner isn’t the greatest actor, but he’s never afraid to try something new, especially if he’s going to get a good laugh out of it. He didn’t just provide the people on set with some laughs, though, he also put on a little show for them during his downtime.
It’s a good thing his hockey career worked out for him.
