Hockey needs a villain. Without Sean Avery, Chris Pronger, Matt Cooke, Scott Stevens or any of the most famous players that sometimes crossed the line in games, there are not too many people to root against.

Of course, the NHL tried to turn Ovechkin and Crosby into a rivalry for a long time, but they’re both so likeable that it didn’t turn out quite like they’d hoped. Well, maybe this player, who is clearly determined to bring some WWE to hockey, could be the heel that the NHL needs. Dallas Gerads, who plays for the Dubueque Fighting Saints in the USHL, ended up suplexing Jake Durflinger after he tried to dangle around him.

Of course, this may not have been his intention, going in, but as the caption says, RKO’s tend to come out of nowhere.

However, Gerads has some competition.

Some players in an NBJHL game over the weekend also got the memo that hockey might need some more toughness and took things a little too far. One player climbed out of the penalty box and started a fight in the crowd.
