So...Penguins versus Capitals...game of the year?

That was certainly the consensus after the final whistle had been blown after the maddening 15 goal romp between the Penguins and the Capitals that saw Pittsburgh win 8-7. The Pens managed to score 6 goals in the second period, thanks in large part to a hat-trick from Evgeni Malkin. Funny enough, Malkin's Russian compatriot, Alex Ovechkin, somehow didn't get on the scoresheet with a goal, having to settle for two assists.

Naturally, the hockey world had plenty to say after the game had finally ended.


So who is actually in favour of reformatting the All-Star game to a Penguins versus Capitals affair? If they promise to hit the back of the net as many times as they did tonight, we don't think anyone would disagree with the decision.
