Ian Cole has only scored one goal so far this season, but he did it on the right night.

On October 24, the Pittsburgh Penguins were hosting the Edmonton Oilers and Ian Cole scored his first goal of the season. That was the night that he happened to be mic’d up for the Penguins behind-the-scenes series “In The Room”. The whole series is filled with little nuggets that any hockey fan can appreciate, like this Phil Kessel playing basketball clip, but this one really stood out this week.

After Cole scores his first goal of the season, he’s chirps Leon Draisaitl for elbowing him and chirps McDavid when he ties the game up.

You can watch the full episode on the Penguins website.

The episodes are always a lot of fun because the team loves to have fun. In episode two, Ryan Reaves discusses the prank he pulled on Phil Kessel and much more. Even outside of the show this team is having fun. Just look at Evgeni Malkin sharpening Kessel’s skates – they love to have fun.
