The 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest was the dunk contest to end all dunk contests. For real.

When Minnesota Timberwolves Zach LaVine and Orlando Magic Aaron Gordon went dunk for dunk against one another at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, it was probably the most impressive dunk contest of all-time.

Fast forward to 2017, and Gordon returns to the contest to collect what probably should have been his in 2016. The guy went between the legs, under both legs, and jumped over mascots on hoverboards. There really wasn't much more he could have done, yet he still lost to the also incredibly impressive LaVine.

But wait just a second, because it appears Phoenix Suns' Derrick Jones Jr. will give Gordon a run for his money. The rookie has only appeared in six games this season, but he's been showing off during warmups and it's something special.

You better bring your A-Game, Mr. Gordon, because this youngster looks like he knows how to dunk a basketball with style.
