Next season, Adidas will be the official provider of the NHL’s official jerseys, so every team will get a revamp this summer.

In fact, we are scheduled to see the new jerseys on June 20, and there will be plenty of interesting details that we will finally get to see. First and foremost, we will see the Vegas Golden Knights’ first ever jerseys (Their logo looks a little different too). On top of that, the teams expected to see some noticeable changes, according to Chris Creamer of SportsLogos.net, are the: Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils and the Ottawa Senators.

Many teams have posted teasers of what their new jerseys will look like, including every one of those teams.

Our main takeaways from the teasers of teams that are expected to change come from the Sens, Wild, Oilers and Flames.

Here is a breakdown of what each of these teasers reveal. Keep in mind that there will be no alternate jerseys in the NHL next season, so these home colours are likely the only non-white versions you’ll see in 2017-18.

Senators: The Senators were expected to make some changes to their logo after comments made by their new president and a strong push from the fan base. For the most part, people want a switch to the classic “O” style, but most seem to simply want anything but the cartoon senator.

Not only does it look like they will stick with that logo, but their jerseys will remain red (A switch to the “O” probably would have given them black jerseys).

Flames: This one hurts us the most to write. We’re so in love with the Flames retro jerseys and if these teases can be trusted this means we will not see them next season. They are clearly sticking with their current logo and with no alternates, we won’t see the ‘80s retro look until at least 2018-19.

Oilers: This one has actually been suggested in the past, but it confirms that the Oilers’ blue jersey will be eliminated and the Orange will be their main jerseys next season. Chris Creamer also pointed out that it looks like the blue in the logo will be darker as well.

Wild: This one might be the most significant reveal, as the team looks to be adding a Florida Panthers/Montreal Canadiens-style stripe in the middle of their jersey.

Part of us hopes that some of these changes are just to mislead us before the real jersey reveal, we’re not ready to say goodbye to those Flames jerseys again.
