Last season was a tough but necessary one for the Toronto Maple Leafs.  There was a lot of losing, but it was all part of the rebuilding plan, and this season fans have witnessed first hand that the plan is working.

Through 47 games, the Leafs have 55 points, good for fourth in the Atlantic Division, one point behind Boston for third place.  Even if they don't manage to make the playoffs this season, the foundation is there and the brand of hockey the team is playing is exciting.

In fact, we'd venture to say that the Leafs have probably made fans of the casual hockey watchers due to how exciting they are out on the ice.

One of those fans might just be the last person you'd expect, Chad Johnson, also know as Chad Ochocinco.  The former NFL star tweeted this out over the weekend, and the tweet suggests he might just be a Leafs fan.

Chad could also just like the Leafs' jerseys a lot, but we'd like to think he's a fan of the team, too.

We know Johnson is a soccer guy based on all of the FIFA he plays and how much he watches the sport, but that doesn't mean he's not a hockey fan.

In fact, when he was playing with Montreal during his stint in the CFL, he had some social media interaction with the Sabres.

If Johnson is in fact a Leafs fan, he wouldn't be the first athlete in the last year to pledge his allegiance to Toronto's team.  After the NBA's All-Star weekend in Toronto last year, DeMarcus Cousins posted this picture.

There are many places Ochocinco can get a jersey, but we would suggest coming to Toronto to get a jersey, and maybe while he's here he can catch a game, too.
