Every year, more and more undrafted players started emerging as potential NHL talents and today we’re seeing why.

With players like Sergei Bobrovsky, Mats Zuccarello, Tyler Johnson and Torey Krug making their presence felt in NHL lineups, they are starting to get more looks. Could Josh Winquist be the next name in that group? If he can continue to score goals like this one, he definitely could be.

Winquist had a strong season last year, putting up nearly a point per game in the AHL (30 points in 35 games). While slowing down a little this season, he is with his third AHL team in three seasons and is still only 23 years old.

The move wasn’t nearly as smooth as some other ones we’ve seen recently, but he put the puck in the net and has been for the past couple of seasons.
