There are many polarizing, young and talented players in the NHL right now and the first names that come to mind are obviously Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews.
Jack Eichel should be another name that instantly comes to mind, too.
The 20-year-old has an amazing personality and he's been one of the few bright spots for the Sabres over the past two years with 113 points in 142 games over his first two seasons in the NHL.
Yet, despite his success in the stats department, on Thursday at media day Eichel explained why he's proved nothing so far in his career.
Can you tell Eichel absolutely hates losing? If you're a Sabres fan or a hockey fan in general, you've got to love those quotes.
You also have to love the fact that Eichel's teammates echo his message and want to make it to the playoffs this season.
It seems like Eichel is a man on a mission and will stop at nothing to make sure the Sabres play postseason hockey in 2018, and that's all you can ask for out of him.
Despite his rabid desire to win, though, Eichel is all for showing off his awesome personality whenever he gets the chance.
