Jamie Benn keeps promise he made to young car crash survivor before game against Avalanche

Saturday night, Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars took hosted the Colorado Avalanche in a Central Division clash.

Before the game, Stars captain Jamie Benn met a young fan named Kendall Murray.

Murray was a survivor of a car accident and got to talk to Benn Saturday morning well before his game against the Avs. While talking, Benn said he would score for he against Colorado, and he kept his promise.

It took just over a period, but Benn kept his promise as he opened the scoring for the Stars and added an assist on Tyler Seguin's game-winning goal later in the period.

The Stars topped the Avs 3-1 for their second win in their last three games.
