When asked about the Oilers phenom, Jagr raved about his skill, stating that not only does he think 100 goals is a realistic possibility for McDavid, but he thinks with one adjustment 150 goals is within reach. So, what was that adjustment? Score on breakaways a little more. McDavid scores a lot of goals on breakaways, but he also gets more opportunities than anyone in the league because of his speed.
We’re pretty sure he won’t be giving McDavid any breakaway tips this season considering he just signed with the Oilers’ most bitter rival. Jagr did leave a .1% chance that he may return next season, so maybe he’ll sign with the Oilers next season and help get McDavid to 150 goals.
