The Star Wars Night hockey tradition is one that brings together the best of both the hockey world and a world far, far away, and the results are always awesome, whether it be the special jerseys teams wear for the game or the game day posters.
With their second annual Star Wars Night just over a week away, the Florida Panthers thought it would be the perfect time to get fans excited for the matchup against the Sabres on December 20th by releasing the poster for the game.
For those unfamiliar with 'The Battle of Jakku,' it was the last stand of the Galactic Empire and it was the last large-scale battle of the Galactic Civil War.
While the battle with the Sabres won't be anything like the battle of Jakku, it's still an important one as the Panthers were blanked by Buffalo in their first meeting of the season 3-0.
