The legend of Jaromir Jagr continues to grow.

He is one of the best players to ever play the game of hockey, soon-to-be without a contract, and has let the world know he’s open to offers. The 45-year-old began his career back in 1990-91 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and is heading into free agency after posting 46 points in 82 games with the Florida Panthers this season.

Monday marked the official period where free agents can begin contract discussions with prospective teams.

Over the last few days, TSN Hockey insiders have been tweeting up a storm on which free agents garnering interest from which clubs, and who is likely to sign where once free agency opens on July 1st.

Well, don’t think Jagr hasn’t noticed that. He’s been a highly sought after free agent before, but apparently something has changed.

The second highest point scorer all-time is ranked 13th on TSN Hockey’s Top 50 unrestricted free agents list.

He needs to play only 57 more games to take sole possession of first place all-time in NHL games played, and he apparently wants to play until he’s fifty.

Based on reports out of Florida, he’s likely to return to the Sunrise state for his 24th NHL season, because, well, he apparently can’t even get a call returned from other clubs.
