With over 60,000 fans in attendance for the National Championship in Glendale, Arizona, you were bound to see some familiar faces at the game.

One of those well known faces was Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis. Yes, the same Cleveland Indians that played Monday night against the Texas Rangers.

Kipnis is currently on the disabled list with a shoulder injury and is rehabbing at the club’s complex in Arizona, so it's not like he was going to make an appearance in the game, but it's a little interesting to see he wasn't even at the ballpark.

The 30-year-old celebrated his birthday on Monday night by attending the big game instead of his own team's game.

You would think a professional athlete would be able to find better seats

The second baseman made sure to stay up to date with his squad by watching the Indians game on his iPhone.
