Friday night was a night to forget for the Toronto Blue Jays and their fans.

After allowing four runs in the first inning and eight by the end of the third, the game was pretty much over before it started for the Jays.

Since the Chicago White Sox were all over the Jays all night long, some fans decided to get their weekend started a little early. However, a lot of fans stuck around until the end, even though they trailed 11-2 heading into the 9th inning, and it paid off for one fan.

Luke Maile replaced Russell Martin late in the game and got an at-bat out of it. He drilled one of the pitches into foul territory, and a fan made good use of his cap and used it to secure himself a game-used ball.

At least one Jays fan went home with a smile on their face on Friday night.
