Apparently when you trust the "process" you don't need to believe in bizarre concepts....kinda like wearing shoes while you play basketball.
Thursday, the Philadelphia 76ers traded former 6th overall pick Nerlens Noel to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Andrew Bogut, Justin Anderson and a first round draft pick. Having spent two and a half seasons in Philly together, Joel Embiid was sad to see Noel go, expressing that sentiment by stopping his jump shot practice to give the forward a hug as he made his way out of the gym.
It was a genuinely warm moment that reminds you of the personal side of the world of professional sports that can sometimes get a bit cold. But the real highlight of the moment had to be he fact that Embiid was casually shooting jumpers barefoot in the gym. Something that didn't go unnoticed online.
Perhaps Embiid is trying to earn himself a new nickname? That or he's just further proving how quirky and amazing he truly is.
