The Calgary Stampede is a ten-day event that’s held every year in Calgary. The annual rodeo, exhibition and festival attracts more than one million guests every single year and bills itself as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”.

This year, the Stampede kicked off with the Parade to the Park on July 7 and there were some very special guests marching in the parade.

Johnny Gaudreau and Curtiz Lazar both represented the Calgary Flames in this year’s opening parade.

The players did not march alone, as Gaudreau got to spend some time with former professional wrestler and founding owner of the Calgary Hitmen, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, in the parade.

The Flames and the Hitmen weren’t the only teams with representatives in the parade as the Calgary Stampeders and the Calgary Roughnecks also had members of the team join in on the celebration.

It’s one of the wildest events of the summer and this year shouldn’t be any different.
