It's a great time to be a MMA fan as there are so many incredible fighters that have become mega-stars in the sport.

Still, as big as the likes of Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier are, they're not quite at the Georges St-Pierre level just yet, and for younger UFC fans that haven't seen the legend fight, you're in luck because the Canadian is making a return to the octagon.

While key details such as when and who GSP will fight in his return to the octagon haven't been released yet, the important thing is the legend is coming back.

Obviously everyone knows that now, including Johny Hendricks, who called out GSP after his win at UFC Fight Night 105 in Halifax, as per Steven Marrocco of USA Today Sports:

''Who would want to see him and Bisping, or me and Bisping? I’m pretty sure the whole world would much rather see that. I would just say sorry for the Canadians. I’m going to have to beat his face in, definitely if he comes to 185. Because that’s a fight that I’ve been really looking for. And now that I’ve got a win under my belt at 185, he’s a newcomer at 185.''

There are a couple of important things to note here.

For starters, Hendricks and St-Pierre have a history as his last fight before stepping away from the UFC in 2013 was against Hendricks for the welterweight title.

GSP won that fight in controversial fashion, but Hendricks would eventually go on to win the title against Robbie Lawler.

Second thing, Hendricks is fighting at 185 pounds, but we don't know what weight class GSP would like to come back and fight in.

Lastly, there are other potential opponents for GSP in the forms of Michael Bisping or Anderson Silva, so before Hendricks gets a chance at beating the legend's face in, there are still a ton of questions that need to be answered.

Bottom line, though, if St-Pierre is back for more than just one fight, maybe returning against Hendricks, someone he's been in the octagon with before and beaten, might be the smart choice.
