There are not many football personalities we love more than former NFL head coach and ESPN analyst Jon Gruden. Look no further than “Spider 2 Y Banana” to see just why we enjoy his style so much. The man couldn’t be more entertaining during a broadcast, he knows how to keep the game fun, and he knows the quarterback position better than anyone.

When Gruden was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, he had an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach by the name of Marc Trestman. Of course, Trestman has been a successful coach both north and south of the border since then, but returns to the Canadian game this year to coach the Toronto Argonauts.

Being so familiar with Trestman, Gruden sat down to shed some light on how he felt the coach would do with a quarterback like 14-year veteran Ricky Ray. Does the Super Bowl winning head coach think Trestman and Ray will have success together in 2017?

We get our first look at the chemistry between Trestman and Ray when the Argos take on their rival Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Sunday, June 25th at BMO Field in Toronto, across the TSN network at 4:00pm ET.
