The Montreal Canadiens announced that offseason acquisition and Quebec product Jonathan Drouin has teamed up with the Canadiens Children’s Foundation to bring underprivileged kids to games at the Bell Centre by taking in the action in a private suite.

Drouin bought a custom-designed suite inside the Habs arena that will host children from hospitals and charitable organizations under the name Jo et ses champions (Jo and his champions). Drouin will contribute $165,000 annually towards the Canadiens foundation for the box.

The Montreal Canadiens acquired the Drouin in the off-season to provide the team an offensive spark, and give Habs fans a new player that will be a future face of the franchise on and off the ice. Drouin mentioned following the trade that he was ecstatic to get involved in the community and help impact those that are less fortunate.

 
Drouin is contributing $500,000 to the Foundation du Centre hospitalier de l’Universite de Montreal that will being spread out over the next ten years.

The 22-year-old has one assist in four games with the Habs this season.
