Jose Bautista and the Toronto Blue Jays technically never really parted ways. But with the way the free agency saga rolled out, it certainly seemed like there was a solid chance that Joey Bats would be wearing something other than a Blue Jay on his hat in March. Thankfully that's not the case, as the two sides came to an agreement earlier this week, bringing the slugger back for at least one more season. Thursday, Bautista took to Instagram to express just how happy he feels returning to the Jays.
Although it would have been nice to see Edwin Encarnacion return to the Jays lineup in 2017 as well, baseball fans in Canada will at least get see one of the most beloved players in franchise history return and continue their conquest to bring a World Series north of the border.
