There's no good way to lose a game in sports, but the way that Kentucky lost to UNC on Sunday in the Elite 8 is much worse than a lot of ways to lose.

The final seconds of #UNC vs. #Kentucky are why it's called #MarchMadness

In a matter of moments, Kentucky tied the game and lost it, and it was absolutely devastating to say the least, especially for the players.

John Calipari's teams historically feature a lot of 'one and done' players, so for many of the Wildcats, this tournament may have been their first and last, making the loss hurt that much more.

One of those one and done players, De'Aaron Fox, displayed the agony of defeat in an extremely emotional interview after the loss.

Being in the locker room of any losing team is tough, and that right there is why.

Of course, whenever there's the agony of defeat, there's the thrill of victory, and UNC's locker room was excited about another Final Four appearance to say the least.

Unfortunately not everyone can win in sports, but there's nothing wrong with losing because the lessons learned from such a devastating experience are very valuable.

We imagine Kentucky will have a chance at redemption, whether Fox returns or not, next season.
