Kevin Durant has had an odd offseason.

At the beginning of the summer, everything was gravy. Durant had become an NBA champion, he was back on Twitter answer fan questions about hoops and in general it seemed like the Warriors were on cloud 9. Now, he has gotten himself into some hot water for getting a little too into the Twitter game.

Yesterday, some Tweets were sent from his account that boldly criticized his former team and head coach, Billy Donovan.

As you can see in that Tweet, fans were convinced that Durant has fake accounts to defend himself online and that he had just forgot to switch back.

However, KD answered questions about the eventually deleted Tweets today and it doesn’t seem like that was the case. He explains that he has a separate Instagram account to just share photos with his friends and family, but doesn’t use it to “Clap back at anyone”.

So, Durant owns up to the mistake, putting to rest the speculation of fake accounts, if someone else tweeted the messages or if he was hacked.

He doesn’t directly say he doesn’t have any fake Twitter accounts, but even if he did, we highly doubt he’d use them ever again.
