The Toronto Raptors have made great progress over the last few years when it comes to attracting players to sign with them. For the longest time, the Raptors struggled to even get considered by free agents, but things have turned around as of late as the basketball scene continues to thrive north of the border.

A lot of players, especially retired players, wouldn’t really consider calling Toronto their home, but that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy the stops they get to make or made in the NBA’s lone Canadian city during the season. On a recent episode of KG’s Area 21, Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace ranked their Top 5 NBA Distraction Cities, and KG showed some love for Toronto.

Garnett refers to Toronto as the best-kept secret in the league when it comes to distraction cities because there’s always so much to do. According to KG, Toronto is one of the best places for night life with some of the best parties in the entire league and the fact that it’s a safe city is a definite plus.

While his co-host Rasheed Wallace didn’t seem to agree with him on their No. 1 Distraction City in the league, Charles Barkley would probably agree with KG.

It’s nice to see the city of Toronto is finally starting to get the recognition it deserves throughout the NBA.
