Metallurg MG and Ak Bars are currently going head-to-head in the KHL Eastern Conference finals, and despite being a tight series, it’s been all Metallurg through the first two games.

The first game of the series ended up going to double overtime and Ak Bars wanted to let the No. 1 seed know they weren’t going down without a fight.

Already trailing 1-0 in the second period of Game 2, Metallurg took a 2-0 lead thanks to Danis Zaripov’s 13th goal of the postseason.

Apparently the goal was the breaking point for Ak Bars forward Denis Golubev, who completely lost it and decided to go after the entire team while they were celebrating their second goal of the evening.

Attempting to take on five guys in a fight all by yourself is never a good idea. Golubev came out on the worst end of it all, obviously, and ended up leaving the game shortly after due to an undisclosed injury and did not return.

We’re guessing that’s the last time he’s going to try to fight more than one guy at once.
