It didn’t take long for tempers to flare in a recent KHL game between Sibir and Dinamo Minsk. Early on in the first period, Sibir forward Sergei Shumakov went to play the puck around his own net while trying to avoid his opponent. However, he wasn’t so lucky as he ended up on the worst end of the hit and went down holding his leg. That’s when Vitali Menshikov stepped in at the defence of his teammate.

Almost immediately after he left the penalty box, Menshikov was at it again after one of his teammates was on the wrong end of a real dirty knee-on-knee collision, and this time he wasn’t so nice to his opponent.

Former NHLer Rob Klinkhammer was the player who threw out the intentional knee-on-knee hit, and Menshikov made sure he got everything he deserved in their mini wrestling match.
