The opportunities are pretty much endless when you’re a professional athlete. The better you get, more deals come your way. It’s common for players to get sponsorship deals, but very rarely do they get their own food item.

Earlier this month, Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Kris Letang introduced his new line of chocolate bars that are now for sale in Pittsburgh and online through PLBSports.com.

Letang’s new chocolate bar comes in two different flavours, crisped rice & pretzel and peanut butter, and are sold in four packs which contain two of each kind.

Usually we see athletes get food deals with healthy items, not junk food. But it was a no-brainer for Letang, who had this to say to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“People that know me really well, know that I’m addicted to chocolate. I don’t go a day without eatng it.”

Letang truly is living the dream. He’s a professional hockey player and he has his own line of chocolate bars. It doesn’t get much better than that.

He’s not the only member of the Penguins to get some sort of food related endorsement. Marc-Andre Fleury got his very own cereal line many years ago.
