It was great to see someone like Henrik Lundqvist win, considering he has endured such an illustrious NHL career without a Stanley Cup. No Swede likely wanted to win more though, than Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog.

Captaining one of the worst teams in NHL history isn’t exactly something to brag about, but winning a gold medal at the IIHF Worlds makes it slightly less painful. Following an eventful post-game interview, Landeskog was eager to celebrate and decided to hop in the hot tub fully equipped.

It’s tough to tell whether his skates are still on, but they’d likely be ruined. On the bright side, at least the 24-year-old was able to hop out feeling less like a prune.

Landeskog will look to carry his success into the upcoming NHL season, and improve on a rough 2016-2017 campaign.
