All eyes were on the NHL's up and coming superstars this past weekend in Los Angeles, and they didn't dissapoint as they showcased their incredible ability all weekend long.

Although fans were undoubtedly looking forward to seeing the likes of Auston Matthews and Patrik Laine, the one player everyone was looking forward to was seeing Connor McDavid, specifically in the fastest skater competition.

The NHL's scoring leader brought fans to their feet with his incredible skating ability, but in the end it wasn't enough to beat the record Dylan Larkin set during last year's All-Star festivities.

That being said, there was some controversy amongst hockey fans in regards to the running start Larkin got last year, and after watching McDavid barely miss out on breaking his record, Larkin responded in the most humble way possible.

Larkin makes a great point, and the head-to-head matchup is sure to be exciting if (when) it happens as the debate to see which player is the fastest will finally be settled.

That being said, Larkin better get some practice laps in beforehand because McDavid's already beaten Mike Gartner's time twice this year.
