Tennis is like golf in the sense that fans need to be silent (and sitting in tennis) until a point is won or after a shot is hit.

It's really not a big ask for the fans to abide by the rules if you think about and there are numerous occasions where in both sports where fans can get loud and up out of there seats.

During play is not one of those times though, and Tuesday night at the US Open the chair umpire had to ask fans to take their seats at one point in the match so Sam Querrey and Kevin Anderson could continue their match.

One of those fans just happened to be Erik Karlsson of the Ottawa Senators.

Karlsson was with his wife taking in some US Open action.

Being the passionate tennis fan that he is, Karlsson knows the procedures and etiquette, but by the looks of it he was just late getting or coming back from getting a beverage at the wrong time so you can't fault him.

You can, however, answer this question he recently asked his Twitter followers involving tennis:

Federer will play his quarter-final match Wednesday and you can watch it, along with the rest of the tournament, across TSN.
