The Vegas Expansion Draft is one of the more mysterious things to happen in the NHL in recent years.

As the first expansion team to be created in the salary cap era, they have a lot of options to take on bad contracts from teams in exchange for a pick or other assets. This has opened up a lot of possibilities for the team and fans.

Fans have more possibilities because they can let their imaginations run wild – especially when they have access to TSN’s new Expansion Draft Simulator.

They can dream up mock version of their expectations in the draft, check out TSN analysts’ picks or even create something of their own. To create a lineup of your own, you can put certain restrictions on yourself, such as Leafs Redditor MitchyMarnman did with his mock draft. He made sure that he was only drafting players that have at some point played in the Maple Leafs’ organization.

You be the judge of how that turned out.

You could also go with Korbinian Holzer for the Ducks pick, but there’s not too much you could change beyond that pick.

The group of skaters only averaged 36 games last season and averaged 18.34 points over a full NHL season. Let’s just say that if the Golden Knights end up with this roster, they’ve probably acquired a lot of other assets and picks to build their team in the near future.
