On Sunday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs in Game 6 of their first round series against the Washington Capitals.

While many Leafs fans were sad, even more fans were incredibly proud of their team. After clinching a playoff berth for the first time since the 2012-13 season, and just the second time since the 2003-04 season, the Leafs came out firing and performed their hearts out against the first-place Capitals.

Maple Leafs' fans, fans of other NHL franchises, and members of the media hit the Internet to thank their team for an awesome performance, and let the Leafs know they think the future is bright.
