The LeBron James/Kyrie Irving saga has just entered another chapter.

The offseason was packed full of speculation on the reason Irving left the Cleveland Cavaliers, with teammate LeBron James being the favourite subject for lots of conversations. Irving requested a trade away from one of the most dominant teams in the league to try an build a team elsewhere. After some strange posts from LeBron hinting at betrayal, Irving was traded to Boston Celtics and LeBron reunited with Dwyane Wade in an intense friendship.

Of course, coming into the season opener featuring the Celtics taking on the Cavs, we all knew what the biggest storyline was going to be. What was going to happen between the two superstars that own the same championship ring?

Well, the Cavs won and the two ended off the game with an embrace, seeming to squash any ongoing Westbrook-Durant type beef. Unfortunately for LeBron, their respective seasons were about to head in opposite directions.

The Cavaliers have fallen to 4-6 on the season, which is a wildly disappointing record based on high expectations the Cavs' had set coming into the season. Meanwhile, Irving and the Celtics have won their last nine games straight, and they've done so without fellow offseason acquisition Gordon Hayward.

Just minutes after the Celtics recorded this 9th straight victory, LeBron James took to Instagram to add what appears to be a subpost.

LeBron is a natural competitor that truly hates to lose. Though it's not confirmed that the post was in response to Kyrie's ongoing success as a Celtic, it certainly adds to the narrative.
