Last week, Kendrick Lamar released DAMN. and the album has received nothing but great reviews in just over a week since its official release.

On Thursday night, LeBron James helped the Cavaliers put together a big comeback victory over the Indiana Pacers to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. Following the game, LeBron was asked about Kendrick’s new album and the 4-time NBA MVP had nothing but praise for the 29-year-old rapper out of Compton, California.

The Cavs were trailing by 25 at the half, so perhaps James went back to the Cavs’ locker room, put on his headphones, and turned on the album so he could try to use Lamar’s tracks as motivation to get his team back in the game.

Whatever he did worked, as the Cavaliers pulled off the greatest comeback victory after halftime in NBA postseason history.

A comeback for the history books.

James isn’t the only athlete to give Lamar praise for his new work. Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook also had some high praise for the rapper after he heard his name dropped in 'The Heart Part 4'.
