Sidney Crosby and Erik Karlsson had nothing but high praise for one another following one of the best Game 7 contests in recent NHL history.

After Chris Kunitz put home the overtime winner, the two captains shared an incredible moment when they met during the traditional series-ending handshakes.

It doesn’t get much better than seeing arguably the game’s two best players commend one another for a hard-fought battle. Karlsson was even classy enough to wish the Penguins' captain good health. The Swedish defenseman also revealed that he was playing through two hairline fractures in his foot.

Karlsson seemed to be in good spirits judging by the brief encounter. Following the loss, he commemorated the season with an emotional Instagram post.

At the end of the day, someone wins and someone loses. It’s just nice to see both players handle the outcome with such tremendous class.
