The Toronto Blue Jays stunned the baseball world after overcoming an incredible six-run deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Angels.

After Kevin Pillar smacked a two-run shot to put the Jays back in it in the bottom of the ninth, Steven Pearce later came to the plate with the bases loaded and proceeded to hit his second walk-off grand slam in four days.

During the game, fans justifiably lost hope, namely San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture. The Guelph, Ontario native admitted that he tried to stay positive throughout the contest but ultimately threw up the white towel a bit too early.

Afterwards, Couture manned up and called himself out for jumping the gun.

It’s tough to blame the guy, as he obviously wasn’t the only one. But last night’s game was just a perfect example of how a game simply isn’t over until it’s over. With the homerun, Pearce became just the third player in MLB history to hit two walk-off grand slams in a single MLB season.

What a game it was.
