San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture proved this past season that he’s one of the toughest guys in the league.
Near the end of the season, the 28-year-old Guelph, Ontario native took a shot off his face that ended up causing some serious damage. However, a few weeks later we was suiting up for his team’s first playoff game and ended up playing every game in the series.
On Monday, Couture decided to share some personal photos of his injury on his Instagram account and the result of his injury, as you probably imagined, is pretty gruesome.

Couture’s caption on the photoset is ‘A face only my mother could love’, but we’re guessing there’s a lot of Sharks fans out there who love him just as much for his grit and dedication he displays on a nightly basis.
Hopefully the recovery period is a speedy one for Couture.
