It didn’t take long for 2017 second overall NBA draft pick Lonzo Ball to get Lakers fans out of their seats in his summer league debut. In fact, it took just 20 seconds.

On his team’s first possession, Lonzo connected with 2016 second overall pick Brandon Ingram for an incredible alley-oop slam.

Could that have looked any more effortless?

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for Ball from there, though, as he scored just five points and missed 13 of his 15 shots. His infamous father LaVar even claimed the performance was the “worst he could do”.

LaVar not discouraged after Lonzo's 'worst game ever'

It’s hard to completely fault the guy, considering the game was his first taste of pro action. But the pressure is on, especially when you consider all of the hype that LaVar created before his son even entered the league. It also doesn’t help that he’s playing for one of the most historic franchises in all of sports.

At least fans were given a taste of what’s likely to come between he and Ingram.
