Back in May, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry let reporters know he would be opting out of his contract during the offseason and becoming an unrestricted free agent. In early June, the All-Star reportedly met with Raptors head coach Dwane Casey and backcourt partner DeMar DeRozan to further discuss things.

On Monday, a report began circulating saying Kyle Lowry had been “grumbling about dissatisfaction with the Raptors for months.” Soon after the report, Lowry took to Twitter to address the situation himself.

Bruce Arthur of the Toronto Star, and contributor to TSN’s The Reporters, wrote the article that noted other teams were told Lowry had “zero interest” even if Toronto offered him a maximum five-year deal.

Arthur responded to Lowry’s tweet, and later told TSN’s Josh Lewenberg he thinks Lowry will return to the Raptors, which he points out was at the end of his column.

Arthur joined SportsCentre to discuss his article that elicited the response from Lowry on Twitter, which can be seen in the video above.
